Has anyone done the Volksweg trail (kind of redundant to those of you who sprechen Deutsch oder Nederlands) around Red Rock before? I want to do that sometime this year.

here is the bike i just got. now some of you need to come up and ride around Ames with me.

Dig the frame. Interesting how the seat stays connect so low on the seat tube. The geometry is nice and tight. I have Origin 8 cranks, pedals and handlebars.. They make pretty good stuff.

Now flip that stem and get those handlebars under the saddle height so you're not in grandma mode.. Ha.

Ed, your ride is hard!

I just got some new grip tape. My gears have started popping like they're shifting when I throw down a lot of torque on the top two gears. No idea why yet. Pretty sure my entire derailleur could use an oil bath. I'll have the bike pictures up soon-ish.

I took the 45 min ride to Pella-Red Rock's 110' observation tower. I was able to run the tower 7 times at a decent pace. It would be nice find a group to ride with at a good tempo. Really hitting the bike has been bothering my knees though.

How are those pedals treating you? I just ordered some white ones by Origin 8.

So far so good. I have the "Track Pro" style. Still going strong, they have somewhere around 2000 miles on them.

I ordered a new frame which should be coming soon, it's a bit smaller so it'll fit me better. Also getting some all city cages/straps once they get to the shop.
