some of its genuinely good, alot of it really sucks...if you don't think some of the bands you listen to alter their voices to their idea of perfection on their albums you've got to be high.

I never once said some of the bands I listen to don't alter their voices or use Auto Tune. I know that is the case. But the bands I listen to pretty much only use it as a means of "pitch correction" to smooth out the notes they can't hit. They don't use it as some sort of fucking robot effect to completely change the way the human voice sounds. That is what I was talking about and that certainly has fucking ruined modern pop music. Also, pop music in the 70's, 80's and 90's all sucked for the most part too.
