Daegofest rules. Good food and for those of us blessed enough to be raised South of the Des Moines and/or Raccoon Rivers, a good place to run into a lot of people you know. Top notch bocce action as well. I have to work this weekend, but I'll be there tonight. Come out and be multicultural.

Just got back. Some top-notch bocce ball and good food. I gorged myself on meatball sandwiches, chicken parmagana, tiramisu and cannolis. I have to say that the desserts owned.

Even if there aren't as many vendors, it sure beats getting shot at a Juneteenth celebration.

I went tonight too. First time I ever went. That place is a perverts paradise. The food was killer too and it wasn't high priced at all. Italian Fest is way better than the Fair.

If I would have known I was going, you would have been the first person I notified. The Fair is a giant ripoff so I don't believe that's too bold a statement.

my family and i went to perkins (near the italian fest) after i got off work. towards the end of our meal the door flew open and about 5 or 6 hoodrats ran in screaming, telling the manager to call the cops and to get the people off them. right after they flew in, whoever was chasing them threw a rock through the front window of perkins, smashing it.

Fair food is way overrated and way overpriced. The only thing I've had at the Fair that was worth the money was the Hot Beef Sundae. It was killer.
