Last month the owners of the Vaudeville Mews expressed concern that the music venue might need to shut its doors this fall when the bar's six year lease expired this fall. Today co-owner Amedeo Rossi announced that the business and building owner Coppola Properties have signed a lease extension keeping the Vaudeville Mews in its current location through Nov. 2009.
“We are happy to extend the lease.” Rossi said. “This allows us more time to evaluate options and continue to provide a broad array of local, regional and touring national acts without interruption. I want to thank everyone who expressed support for the Mews’ role in the community. It has become an important conduit to the local music scene.”
The Vaudeville Mews opened in 2002 and has hosted shows by bands including The Reverend Horton Heat, Two Gallants, Of Montreal and Fiery Furnaces as well as regular shows by local bands.

Zut alors! I was kind of hoping to see some more condos built downtown. We don't have enough of them as is.
