I was joking. That weekend seems to be the punk rock weekend. 4 punk shows in 4 days.

And here my son was looking forward to this show and now I find out it's 21+. So is English Beat. Interesting trend.

I think it was to start with and got moved to make room for The River Monks CD release party. Which I have to say is really rather boring folk rock.

Aren't kids allowed to go 21+ shows if they have a parent with them?

'no minors after 9:30, no exceptions'

I think that is what their sign says

.

Not sure if they changed it but NO they are not. The ordinance states "No one under the age of 21 after 9pm." A while back the city passed a Venue ordinance but I don't think anyone has taken advantage of it.

What I mean by rather boring is that I barely made it through half a song before I lost complete interest. It sounds like some hardcore band trying to be a folk act. Oh wait it is. Nothing to be intimidated by there. Then again maybe I should give them more of a chance but I'm old and I really don't have enough time left on this earth listening to a band that can't hold my attention for over a minute and half.
