NPR's music does suck. Can't get into blues for and by middle class white people, world music (can't get into beating on drums and chanting "ooga-booga" or panflutes no matter what the sociopolitical connotations are) and the indie thing bores me. Shamrock and Thistle used to be hit and miss, I'm not sure if it's still on.


Re: Winter in the UK. I was in London exactly two years ago and thought they had very pleasant winters. Lots of motherfuckers in shorts and they kept their buildings at uncomfortably low temps, something about cold being invigorating or something. Hardly any snow on the ground. Hopefully this shit in Europe tones down because I'll be in Paris and Istanbul next month and I'd rather not deal with it.
