two things I thought were awesome were how they didn't really get mad at jim for being a fuck most of the time and all the recording footage of LA WOMAN where they are getting their shit back together but then of course jim died.

I know we're all just giving our opinions here, but I feel like I'm stating an actual fact when I say that The Doors are in no way better than Zep, The Stones or The Beatles. My evidence for this:

Beggars Banuqet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main St. That's a four album stretch that you cannot fuck with. Totally unreal.

"When the Levee Breaks" is better than anything The Doors ever did.

And The Beatles are just...The Beatles. The absolute best, and far above The Doors in terms of songwriting, singing and recording proficiency.

So deal with THAT!

AC/DC is one of my favorite bands ever, but it's hard to put them in the same discussion as the bands we've been talking about. They do something totally different, with no semblance of art or anything intellectual. They just rule, and I love them because I am NOT a wuss.

By the way, Johnny Reeferseed & The High Rollers along with Brother Trucker, Thankful Dirt, and Matt Woods and The Thunderbolts will be doing a Stones tribute show at HOB on Keith Richards' birthday, Dec 18th.
