I've been trying to help these guys out for awhile now, but nothing is working out. What venues should I be trying besides the obvious? I tried asking Ames Progressive and friends for basements but not a lot of them live in their own houses.

Sucks for you, missing out on a great band. Someone let me borrow their house/basement/garage/whatever for a few hours.

Use Shane's basement. Who cares if he isn't down.

He should let me, have his parents leave for a few hours. Nothing To Nothing & Hardside are looking to play.

I'm willing to cover venue costs/gas money if this thing bails, I just need a damn venue. Des Moines hasn't had many hardcore shows since the Haunted Basement closed.

Start going to other shows so people will want to go to your shows!

What shows have I missed besides the 1,000 Die Mutts shows? I've gone to all the Ames Progressive shows that have appealed to me too...

BUMP for the PFR. If you don't go to shows and happen to come to this one, I am sure Tyler will still let you in without berating you.
THAT IS, IF THAT ASSHOLE CAN FIND A PLACE TO HOST IT.

I could care less if you like my band, everyone likes what they like and shouldn't be told what to like, right? I don't play all the shows I book, and I don't only book "Punk" shows. Also when you've been active in the same scene for a decade people tend to ask you to play shows alot. You'd prolly get beter results booking shows if you came with a diffrent approach.

Tyler didn't say anything about not liking your band, you playing all the shows you book, or you only booking punk shows.
Srsly though, is this shit happening or what?

You are taking way too much from my comment. Calm down, my approach is just fine.

Nick... I got in touch with Vaudeville and it seemed hopeful for a minute but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. So unless anyone wants to be cool and let me use their place I might have to just call it off.
Ames Progressive is booked up, and everyone seems to not want to help out.

Going to check out a few venue prospects pretty soon, hopefully one of them will work out.

Now at All Play. If you don't like hardcore, come watch Garage Door Toy Car. Heard the new jams are sick! or you could play video games...
Fucking stoked!

It's going to be pretty sweet, the dude is hooking us up as long as he can set up a bar so people buy drinks from the establishment which I have nothing against. Hoping it goes well and gets a decent turn out.

Trying looking up your butt and around the corner.
No but really, Cory asked me right away then Dan had the Hardside dudes ask to play, THEN they asked for the two bands they are touring with to play that I'm going to have split a set.

Let's take bets on how quickly Shane gets kicked out for indecent (excuse me, decent) exposure.

What Cory's trying to say is I will probably be wearing as few clothes as possible because the fact that I get super hot while playing will only be exacerbated by how hot it is inside of Allplay.
I mean, that's all Garage Door Toy Car is, really: 4 super sweaty dudes being as loud as we can for like 9 minutes.
