Total time killer for those of you who like to lol at all the local "talent". I went to the link:

-and viewed all the contestants for the Battle for Lazerfest or whatever...and it has to be funnier that last year's participants. A few things struck me after reading the short descriptions. 1: Someone needs to count how many bands use "high energy" in describing themselves. I lost count after 7. 2: Alot of these bios say they've been around for 3 years or more but, yet they all have the shittest band promo pics of themselves playing in some po-dunk bar (note: I forgot the band but they photoshopped their band name behind themselves playing to look like they had a fancy banner - under a glowing bud sign. 3: Who the fuck are most of these jokers? I only recognized about 5 (out of 39). I have yet to listen to any of them but Im sure there are some priceless gems in this crop.

515crew mission: Post any song links, youtubes, or pics of these future stars of Iowa to spread the lolz...... or not. Again, just a time killer.

I couldn't make it through all 39 bands. Just way too depressing.

I absolutely cannot fucking stand bands that are obviously not popular or successful, but they have those huge bios where all they're doing is inflating their "accomplishments" and writing a big load of bullshit. When a band has something like that on their page, it's a good indicator of their motivation for playing music: to get big and look important. They don't actually love being in a band for the simple pleasure of being in a band with their friends. It's all just a popularity contest for them.

on the opposite of what elliot was saying, i enjoy bands whose description of themselves is basically just their member listing.

I'm pretty sure Boston Hellmask is mostly members of Mindrite, and it's sort of a joke band, but not really. I dunno. Those guys think their jokes are funny, I guess.

No, fuck Calous forever. Those dudes are shitty and were loading in their equipment WHILE my old band was playing (walking in front of me while I'm doing vocals mid song and leaving their equipment right there) and I found it a bit disrespectful...

the bassist from calous once told me over a stupid online fight that he would rape my daughter. still salty about that one.

i had to grab one of the guys that travels with hallowed hysteria cause he was trying to start fights because kids were moshing. he said it was because his kid almost got hit but his kid was on the stage like 10 feet away. who the fuck brings their kid into a mosh pit anyway?
