Way back in 2006, I went to see the Old Scratch Revival Singers play at the Vaudeville Mews at their tour kickoff show. A band I had no clue about from New York City called Skeletonbreath was opening for them. I was blown away by their set and the music they made, I had heard nothing like it before. Old Scratch's amazing set after Skeletonbreath cemented this show as one of my favorites of all time. Skeletonbreath and Old Scratch haven't ever played a show together since then, but on May 19th, 2010 they will again:
SKELETONBREATH - Brooklyn NYC drums, bass, violin trio. I've booked this band so many times and I always have difficulty describing their sound. Is it punk, is it indie, is it folk, what is it? Self described as Transylvania surf rock, whatever it is, it's good, with definite influence coming from Danny Elfman soundtracks and crime comic television adaption theme songs.... jesus.

OLD SCRATCH REVIVAL SINGERS - Songs for those that need to repent and read the words of the everlasting gospel. Songs for the drunk, the criminal, the runaway. They've been playing a lot of new material that is going on their new record, and they are sounding better than ever.

THE TWELVE CANONS - Evil, evil music. Stripped down folk music that devils, demons, and witches would play. Songs that will leave you filled with hopelessness and despair. They haven't played in the better part of a year, so this is bound to be a great performance.
