I know Kevin Whalert (co-owner of The Underground) really well. I didn't even think of asking about doing shows there. It's all brick and concrete down there...punk bands would be LOUD as fuck. And if it wasn't for that elevator, load in/loud out for bands would be a bitch. I'm gonna have to talk with Kevin about possibly booking some shows there in the future.
Pretty cool bar actually and a great jukebox.

It's a trendy, East Village bar with a great jukebox, some pool tables/real dart boards and overpriced, $3.50 domestic bottles and PBR tallboys. The crowd is really varied though, from yuppie west-siders, to hipsters, to "punks" and shit. He does have live music, but I've always seen acoustic shit there and never full band music. I think the place is more a lounge/bar that occasionally has live music and don't know if they are looking to make it a venue or not, but I will be talking to Kevin about shows in the future if no HB replacement pops up.
Also, I was actually down at The Underground last Saturday night and hung out with Kevin most of the night. He told me the owner of the Locust Tap is getting out of the business and is selling it and that he (and his business partner) are planning on buying it. That place is a lot smaller, but I I wonder if they could host small shows there?

I had a shot of water with Varg last month (he had alcohol). That's edge as fuck.

First of all, I can't imagine most alcoholic beverages tasting all that great Zach.
Second, Red Bull is gross.
Third, Matt plays really shitty and slow when he is drunk and blames the rest of the band(who are playing in sync together) for being off tempo with him.
Fourth, come to this show!

Red Bull is ok although it seems like if I drink Red Bull at night when I wake up it feels about the same as a low/moderate hangover did.
