3/19-Soviettes, Gateway District, Awesome Snakes, more...

Post by Nick » Tue Jan 26, 2010 2:33 pm

Holy Shit!!! The Soviettes were probably one of my favorite bands of the 2000's. They are reuniting for this show and to release an upcoming Rarities/B-Sides album.

Anyone else gonna go to this?

Friday, March 19 at the Turf Club
St. Paul, MN
The Soviettes
Gateway District
Awesome Snakes
That's Incredible
21+ / $7 / 9 p.m.

Get tickets here: http://indietickets.com

They'll sell out fast I'm sure. And the Turf Club rules!

The opening bands are all the bands the members of The Soviettes have formed since they broke up. Sturgeon (Maren) plays in The Gateway District, Annie and Danny play in Awesome Snakes and Suzy plays in That's Incredible.

Why would he? It's the original lineup: Sturgeon, Annie, Suzy, Danny.

:?: Hmm, maybe he only toured with them. I don't really know the music very well. I've read Snakepitt's comix and he mentions touring with the Soviettes. He was also one of the original members of The Sword

Dunno? I think The Soviettes may have toured with J Church years ago, so maybe that is where you got the Ben Snakepit tie-in?

Ben Snakepit did play a few gigs with The Soviettes in 2004 when their real drummer had to leave the tour. There is a Youtube clip of the show that was put up a few weeks ago from a Houston concert.

You resurrected a 6 month old thread to make your first post. Good work.

Also, where in the world is Potter?

That's ok, I probably won't make a 2nd post. Whoops. I'll delete it later.
