Hey, come to this before you go sledding! We'll go sledding at like 2 in the morning.

Matt, I get off work at 9, and I'll be there at like 9:15. The rest of the BMW dudes will be set up and ready to go, so theoretically all I will have to do is walk in and play.

STOKED.

The cops kick you off of capitol hill at 11, but I'll go sledding somewhere else after the show... still going to capitol before, though.

I'm glad Boy Meets World got some skinhead love tonight.

I mean, seriously dudes. I know we're not that good, and I know you're not into pop punk, but talking shit within earshot isn't cool.

Now I've never been in a band but I can tell you with a great deal of certainty that this will happen again and probably happens to just about every band out there from time to time. Brush it off.

It's not that big of a deal to me, because yeah, it's expected that this will happen to basically every band, but the fact that it's easily dismissed doesn't mean it's ok to do. Anyone can talk shit on my band as much as they want, but it's shitty and unwarranted when the band members themselves can hear it. I'm not even asking for respect here, just decency, and I don't think that's an outrageous request.

Skins, obviously, don't like long hair hippy music, Shane.
It's a scientifically proven fact that they only like moderately paced songs (not too fast or too slow) about working. And ska. Get with it.

I think this is more than ok to do. If you don't like a band, you shouldn't have to look around to see if one of the members is near before you can voice your opinion about the band. If you can't handle negative criticism, then you have no business being in a band. Being in a band is performing for people, and those people aren't always going to like the music you play. Those people also have every right to tell you how much they don't like your band. It isn't disrespectful to not like someone's band and to say such things. Like Ryan said, it happens, get over it.

Another way to look at it is, the dudes who you are talking about, might not have even known you were in the band, so when they talked about their thoughts on your band, they didn't think it was hurting anyone's feelings. They are very respectful guys and don't set out to make anyone feel bad.

It does mean something to you, or you wouldn't have said anything. Fact is don't whine about it cause there will always be haters. Save it for your girlfriend.

Hey, I had a lot of fun playing this show. Thanks for letting us play Matt! I look forward to playing with you guys soon, and often.

As far as the whole people saying they didn't like our band, I don't really care. If you are talking about me when I was upstairs, those guys had no idea that I was in the band. As far as I know, they are all really nice dudes who meant no disrespect to any of us personally.

I had lots of fun at this show, it was my first time playing the beechwood, or even attending a show there. Fun place, and I will make more of an effort to attend shows there in the future.

Great attitude Thom! I also had fun at this show. I, against popular opinion, liked Boy Meets World a lot. But you guys need more vocal harmonies.

I'm also going to have to say I was impressed with BMW. I only own 3 (what I consider poppy) pop-punk cd's. one of them is face to face, and I remember turning to someone that night and saying they reminded me of them.

you guys should of jumped in on the Ames Progressive Office show this 30th.

Thanks alot to everyone who came out and made it a really fun show.

If you don't want to get made fun of again you should do the most played-out Cocksparrer cover you can manage and then everyone will love you.
