Those of you that listen to Converge, do you like the new album? I've only streamed it off their MySpace once through, but I certainly enjoy a handful of songs right off the bat. "Wretched World" sure is an odd way to end the album, though. Good song but it completely caught me off guard.

I'm just going to weigh in with the fact that you fail me is one of my favorite albums ever.

I haven't heard any of the new stuff, at all.

Saw them when they came with Mastodon last week and they played 2-3 songs off the new one, other stuff was mostly from no Heroes, but from what I heard the new stuff sounds pretty rad!

ive never really been a fan of this band. i listened to the new album and i liked it. better than anything ive ever heard from them before. after a couple listens though i kind of stopped caring. so im back to being indifferent about them.

i like this record a lot, but am not sure i'm ready to say it's better than you fail me.

i LOVE wretched world.

then again, 'in her shadow' was my favorite track from you fail me, which was obviously swans-inspired.

i'm just glad we've moved beyond (though not completely away from) the super fast metalcore riffage of no heroes, which lacked the heart and soul of the best converge material. this is a great record, and the production is killer.

anyone still jamming the transcode that leaked a few weeks ago is missing out, because it's a LOT heavier than that leak really let on. such a serious record. worms will feed is a jam and a half.
