I wanna like this, but something is awfully emo about the sound? Not sure if it is the vocals or the guitars or what? I could get into this if it were a little faster. I hear hints of Hot Water Music, which is a good thing.

I am definitely intrigued and I like it more than dislike it. I'd just like to hear more and hope there is some faster tempo stuff? Good musicians for sure.

You like your friends' bands because you want to support them. Because, you know, that's what friends do.

yeah, but theres a fine line between supporting your friends bands and 'having to like them'...

Because it's actually something we like? I have liked about 99% of bands my friends have started..

like i said, its cool if you like them and support them...but alls im saying is be honest with yourself and like them if you like them, don't like them just because they are your friends...if they suck, and you know it, support them, that is cool, but don't lie about your like for them, just because they are your friends......just not cool

How the fuck is this even relevant? You're just drumming up discontent for no reason.

Mostly Stand United. Derek, Blayhn, Seth are all my buddies but it's just not for me. I'm not trying to get any shit talking started on them either. They are all good kids who love music just as much as we do, just another form. The Finest and a few other bands that have came and went.

Do you REALLY not like Long Nights? I think it's awesome. Although I miss Ian's vocals in Old Men Dead Dogs, I'm stoked on this new band they've started and I think Chris sounds pretty good vocally.

You should like this because this band is good. Not a difficult concept.
Nick wrote:I wanna like this, but something is awfully emo about the sound?
I believe what he's saying is there are things that he likes and dislikes about this band. Thus, he wants to like them, but the things that he dislikes keep him from doing it wholeheartedly.

whats good though is relative...whos to say what is good and not good? i don't know...new bands rarely trip my trigger anymore...everybody is always like somebody else, and i've become discontent with about every new band i've heard, whether i typically like the genre or not...which is a flaw of mine...any band that somebody starts around here that sounds like minor threat, good clean fun or rambo(pulled these outta my ass) is going to be considered 'really fucking awesome'...and i don't really get why...they may be fun, and a good time live...but what are they doing thats really so special? i would probably dig them to...this is a real question...i suppose holding on to the roots of hardcore, but at the same time, add a new element and make it your own...blah blah blah

i only saw them(rttb) once, and i really like them...i think it was their last show...colonizer played it
sott....the electronic thing weirded me out when i saw them, way back...it seemed like they had a lot of potential...i guess part of what turns me onto new bands when i see them, is knowing that they have original ways of thinking and writing riffs and you can tell that they are going to grow and develope as a band and write very well written songs some day...don't interpret that as a gimmick...
