It really sucks that your last show is falling on the same day. I'd love to go, but Buried Inside is one of my absolute favorite hardcore bands, and I haven't seen them since 2005, and Battlefields are my boys, and I've been dying to see Gaza. I'd like to formally apologize to you on here for my failure.

Who else is playing Just Do It!s last show? I don't see the listing in the Summer calender.. I'll probably be there instead of this. I still haven't seen battlefields but I don't want to miss the bro-down at the basement.

Victim or Victory, Knuckled Down, Thieves, Strength By Conviction.
The last two bands played here last summer and I feel like it went over pretty well. Should be a fun time. I haven't posted a flier yet cause ... I haven't made it. Fuuuuuuck!

I'm pretty conflicted. I promised maxxwell I would be at THIS show, but that was before I knew it was JDI's last show as well.

I'm sure he wouldn't be mad at you if you decided to go to the JDI show.

I'm not mad either way about whatever anyone chooses. However it does kinda suck that i've had this show booked for about 2 months and I really cant say i know how long the JDI show has been booked but i'm sure this was done first...

Buried Inside and Gaza are too amazing bands that honestly NEVER tour and are coming to Iowa I have a lill money going on this that i expected to loose but wanted to throw a bitchin show.

Go to what you want, but I think you would be a fool to miss BURIED INSIDE.

BUMPING this its at the PELLA MEMORIAL BUILDING since the college flaked.

There is the first word on ours, it really doesnt matter. Shows are booked on the same day all of the time. I doubt our draw is going to steal too many people from your show, and yours is going to steal too many people from ours. The only thing that sucks is if someone sits at home this Friday, instead of going to either.

If we were breaking up just to break up, this would be plausible solution. However we are breaking up because we are done with this band and not wanting to play any other shows as Just Do It!

I sent a message to tyler on his thread about your show, i said to him maybe concider putting boths hows together? I have the memorial rented got a dec PA not that the HB dosent. But i could get money from the door to the bands on the show to help with gas and everything anyone heading to the last JDI show would drive 40min from Des Moines i think and make the show that much greater. Id say id move our show to DSM but i already put the down payment for the venue...its an idea that would i think make things even sweeter. just saying.

Merging would be sick.

I'm so torn between these shows, I absolutely love most of the bands on the Pella lineup, but since it's JDI's last, I'll definitely be going to that.

I know I'm always the Old Guy Wet Blanket on these things, but are you really proposing a show with thirteen bands?? I don't know if I can handle that.

I agree with Nick's initial assessment that the crowds between these two shows won't be conflicting that much. Most kids who are into Just Do It won't really care about Buried Inside and Gaza and Battlefields.

I really want a thirteen band show to happen. Sorry elliot, but this is the best possible outcome for me. I want to go to both shows really really bad.

The show will be ten hours long if this happens. And it would have to start at 1pm, at the very earliest, on a Friday. Very few people will be there to watch the first four hours, and people will filter in and out throughout the whole show. Bands won't get paid as much, or at all, since the ticket obviously won't go much higher than $7. Maxxwell could possibly lose more money than he's already at risk for. And lastly, Just Do It's final show will become meaningless and less special in the middle of a 13-band show where they clearly won't be headlining.

Just because it works for you doesn't mean it actually makes sense. This is meant with nothing but respect for Just Do It, and I hope they have a good final show. I think merging these two shows would be a terrible way for them to go out.

We all talked about it and we want to keep our show in Des Moines. Sorry to everyone that is torn over this, but its not really as big of a deal as people are making. This Friday go to a show, and have fun.

This is so funny, before I read the above, I was going to comment on Elliot going to a show with over 3 bands and not complaining about it, but the rest of this thread, especially what Joe said is just so funny. It sucks that EVERYONE can't be at the JDI show to support their last few years of contribution, I think it would be neat to have everyone who you would expect to be at this show...at this show. Fuck the big bands, I am also not a fan of Doom music. Half of that Pella show I would enjoy.....how about we move the Pella show to the HB! now THAT is Elliot's nightmare come true!
