Southside Stabbing Leaves 4 Injured
DES MOINES, Iowa -- Des Moines Police have released the name of the man suspected of stabbing three bouncers who were trying to break up a fight.
Police said Duane Price Gardner, 31, is charged with three counts of willful injury in connection with the incident in the parking lot of Sapphire's at 520 Army Post Road.
Police said one of the fighters pulled a knife on the bouncers just before 2:00 a.m.
Gardner was also injured in the melee. All four men were taken to Methodist and Mercy hospitals.
One of the men suffered serious cuts to his abdomen, arms and legs.
Gardner was treated and then taken to Polk County Jail where he was held in lieu of $30,000 bond.
