yes...i mixed this show.
i was convinced that a seriously bloody fistfight was going to break out between the band/crew and the h.m. regulars. the bass player for q.o.t.s.a. was roaming around with the broken neck of his bass guitar looking to hit someone...that was squashed very quickly.
long story, short...the club did everything correctly, and the band ended up making themselves looking extremely silly.

Ace has told me this story, since he was a bouncer at this show.
QOTSA had a bunch of expensive lighting that they wanted to use, but the Marys guys told them it would blow the fuses if they plugged all of it in. QOTSA guys did it anyway, and sure enough the fuses were blown. While it was trying to be fixed, members of the band still onstage started leading the crowd in a chant of "THIS PLACE SUCKS." Tensions rose and led to a face-off between the band and the bouncers at Marys, Nick Oliveri definitely had his bass over his shoulder ready to strike people. Also, Jeff Wright punched their tour manager in the face out back. The situation cooled off a little but the show was over and QOTSA quickly loaded out their gear and sped off.
I really, really wish I had been there, but I was 16 and definitely would not have been let in.

They are MP3s. You have to open the RAR archive first. It's like a .zip file. Search for a freeware RAR utility.

RAR?...my mac seems to have no clue..
Any other advice on how to open?

A .RAR file is just a way to "package" and compress multiple files into a single download. It is essentially a .ZIP file, but with better compression. It will open on a Mac, but you'll need software to "unpackage" the .RAR file before you can open the individual files in it. This will do that:
