holy shit.
Even today, I can't see a car run a red light without instantly having an image flash into my head of a man's erect penis, penetrating a watermelon.

God damn it, this is the best show ever.

SPOILERS of course.

Dudes are OLD now. Rimmer was the hardest to get used to, his hair is kinda fucked. Lister has that neck thing going on. Cat is... looks alright. Kochanski looks as good as ever.
No laugh track was WEIRD, took an episode to get used to. No laugh track makes things more serous than they need to be.
I fear the despair squid has become Red Dwarf's deus ex machina.
Holly was down due to water damage done by Lister leaving a bath in the captain's quarters on for 9 years.... so, no Holly :(
They reference seasons 9 and 10, so hopefully if Back To Earth is popular enough, they films 2 new seasons.
All the Blade Runner references were awesome.

THIS WAS GOOD. THIS FEELS LIKE RED DWARF IN 2009. WILL WATCH AGAIN.

i just hope craig charles doesnt rape anyone again so they can keep making red dwarf and not have to wait for him to be on trial for rape. that shit takes forever...

Are you fucking dumb?
This is why you're wrong about series 7:

Also, the two parter Epideme and Nanarchy are classics.
Oh yeah, ever watch Blue? THE RIMMER EXPERIENCE? Come on now.

I can understand talking shit on series 8, but series 7? You're stupid. And if you're talking shit on series 6, well... there's no hope.

1-6 are unfuckwithable
7 is still funny but doesnt feel like classic dwarf to me. the arnold rimmer song that plays at the end of the episode that gif is from still makes me smile though. but yeah, series 7... lotta retooling. ive never liked the kochanski they brought into the series as a regular character. rimmer leaving the show? no thanks. while entertaining (great joke writing) series 7 just doesnt feel like classic dwarf to me. stand alone its fine, in the context of the canon im not a fan.

8 is dog shit and we both know it.

So is this the film they have been talking about since the 90s?

I have to say that the laugh track missing was a little strange. It does set the tone of the show.

I'd watch another season. Though it did slide a bit after the 6th season.
I paid my dues but I lost my Receipt.

the last few have been overdone. i liked the cheesyness of the first few season. it didn't look like they had much of a budget but they put out a great show.

robots dont get fat...

wasn't super into this. but it was better than that last series...
woulda liked some holly.
the blade runner shit got played out by the time the creator said "time... to die"
and whats with the scutters being meh cgi?
theres no way this plot needed to take up 90 minutes.
oh and yeah, they did this episode before. they couldnt think of anything better in the last 9 years?

i've tried watching this, but have no idea what's going on. Do you have to start at season 1 or what?

i didnt. it used to be on after Doctor Who on fridays then it was on before. i slowly got into it. they used to be in a random order as well as Doctor Who. that was a long time ago. before anybody cared about continuity. it was a good show. im not very good at watching things on computers so i havent seen this yet

you probably should watch some old episodes before watching the new one(s).

i'm currently watching season 8. i hadn't seen season 7 or 8 when i was really into the show, so i'm watching them now. and despite what servo says and what i thought previously, theyre pretty good. not as great as the first few seasons, but still pretty good.
