"Milkshake" vs. "My Humps"

Post by El Rhino » Tue Mar 10, 2009 1:48 am

Now that enough time has passed we can view these two songs objectively and decide which one reigns supreme.

Both songs were big hits with a very high "WTF" and "LOL WUT???" factor to say the least.

Both songs remained in people's heads whether they liked it or not... They'll probably end up in your head after this thread.

Both songs are presumably about asses and jugs. The lyrics for "Milkshake" are a little more off the wall as "My Humps" is pretty simple and to the point. I remember the first time I heard "Milkshake" on the radio, I tried to explain it to someone and couldn't really find the right words.

I think the video for "Milkshake" is better than "My Humps". I think Fergie is a skank and not attractive (at least in that video) and it's pretty much nothing but her grinding up on a bunch of black dudes. There's a little more to look at in the Kelis video and it's kind of funny... Bread shaped like asses, fried eggs that look like boobs, ice cream, etc.

I think I remember reading that Kelis is actually something of a serious musician. When "Milkshake" came out a girl I was dating wanted to buy the album but was too embarrassed so I ended up taking it up to the counter for her. The rest of the album sucked. I think people actually like Black Eyed Peas, but we're comparing two songs not the artist's entire career here.

After serious consideration I'm going to have to go with "Milkshake"

This poll is flawed, as the correct answer is clearly: "Whoomp! There It Is"

The album with Milkshake is pretty bad, but Kelis' first album was alright. Will not lie, both are in my iTunes library. Wanderland was one of the first strictly pop albums that the Neptunes produced, if I remember correctly.

Either way, they're both better as instrumentals.

Still don't like My Humps one bit. Fergie is awful in every way.

Good Point! If that song was on the list I'd definitely vote for that, even though Beyonce hasn't done anything with ODB, I think?

due to me riding in a van with a boss who listens to 107.5 i sadly have an opinion on this. i vote "my humps" just because its a bit more classy.

i move to ol dirty bastard should from now on being presented as: ODB RIP when refered in current pop/rap topics

bionce can suck a huge one for doing the songs "if ya like it you shouldda put a ring on it" and "if i were a boy". the former especially is the most irritating song i belive ive ever heard. like she knows what it like. the fucking bitch
