Well...I lived in Chicago for a while after I graduated college and then I got a job working for the Iowa DOT (in Ames) about a year ago, so I moved back to the DSM area. Specifically, Ankeny, as it was a closer drive to Ames every day.

I actually graduated from Waukee H.S. (yeah...haha) back in '98, so I have lived in the DSM area most of my life.

Pretty much everyone I used to know and hang out with around here has either moved away or started the whole married/kids/family thing, so they aren't able to do much with their free time.

I live in Ankeny with my girlfriend and her 6 year old son, so I am pretty much as good as married myself...but that doesn't mean I don't try to make it out to shows and shit whenever I can.

I didn't really know what the scene was like in DSM after being gone for almost 5 years, so it is cool to hear about places like HB and also find a messageboard like this and see there is actually a scene here.

Anyway...what else ya wanna know?

Huh...names don't ring a bell, but the IT division is so big that it is hard to know who is who unless they work with you.

I work in the Office of Transportation Data. I do GIS and Cartography. It is pretty fun.

You talk about Banner Pilot a lot, and when someone starts talking about a pop punk band a lot, that means they usually suck and that I will not like them.

Actually....I don't really talk much when I first meet people. Drinking defintely helps take some of the awkwardness away though. I say much more on messageboards than I probably do in real life.
