well, first off, i love the philosophy!

about that documentary, yeah, its true. what was that called? i saw something similar to that on ifc before i left. i get offered coke and x about every 20-30 mins when im there. i about had to fight some dude because he wouldnt back down and started shoving me, telling me that he would give me a good deal... then i yelled "geen problem" ("no problem" in dutch. that phrase has gotten me out of so much shit. that and "ik heb geen idee" "i have no idea") and he ran off. but i am yet to hear of heroin or anything like that in my 3 weekends ive spent there.

If you've never eaten shrooms before, i'd suggest going to erowid.org and/or shroomery.org and reading trip reports + any other info you can get prior to tripping. Educating yourself as much as possible is one of the best ways to make sure you make the most out of the experience....

i think it's pretty much impossible to take the adventure out of it. you can read about it all day but it's never the same as actually doing it....

the shops never get checked so you can still find shrooms at some spots.
