selling some recording gear: my computer and digi-001
Posted: Sun Feb 15, 2009 6:24 pm
i'm looking to upgrade my home recording setup, so... i'm looking to sell my current computer with recording hardware and software.
[$800 or best offer]
here are some specs:
system:
microsoft windows xp
home edition
version 2002
service pack 1
computer:
amd athlon 64 processor
3200+
2.01 ghz
1.00 gb ram
board
gigabyte
k8n pro
agp8x/ddr 400
video
nvidia geforce fx 5200/5600 dual monitor
hard drives
60gb and 120gb
digidesign 001 hardware
software:
protools 6.4
acid pro 4.0
vegas 4.0
waves renaissance
waves audio processors
waves masters
waves restoration
photoshop 7.0
the only real problem with this computer is that the dvd-r drive broke. you can play/import cds/dvds, but you can no longer burn any.
the software alone is worth THOUSANDS, but i no longer have disks for any of the programs, EXCEPT PRO TOOLS, so you kind of have to use them only on this computer.
if you're looking to get into recording, this is a great setup (and i'm not just saying this cuz i'm trying to sell it). the digi-001 is actually what i used to learn most of what i know. i originally started on a crappy computer, and upgraded to this computer about 5 years ago. it's custom built for digital recording based on my own specifications, so i gaurantee the computer is still great. the only reason i'm really looking to upgrade is because lately i've gotten more into virtual instruments, and it needs a bit of an upgrade to be able to use a LOT of these plug-ins at one time. i also want to get a digital mixer interface, and there aren't really any compatible with the 001. blah blah blah.
if you've got any questions, let me know.
