2. limp bizkit was put together by a record company and marketed towards an angsty youth. they were the "hard rock" version of nsync. plus, fred durst was old as fuck when he was in limp bizkit... like, im talkin' davo old.

No they were a band before they were signed. The story goes that he was a tattoo artist for Korn, gave them a Demo, Korn hooked them up with Ross Robinson and got them signed. They didn't do much until Interscope records bought "ads" to get their song played on a Seattle radio station.

They are everything that is shitty about the record industry. In fact he's a VP at Interscope.
