So far I have not run into any wrestlers, but while driving today my client's dad pointed at a house and said "oprah owns that." I guess that counts for something??

Shit man, I am in North Carolina for a couple weeks.

Saturday go to the Orpheium in Ybor City at 11 PM, from 11 - Close it is 10 Bucks all you can drink draft, and dollar wells. If you don't drink its cool because all the easy scene girls do.

Oh but if you see dudes with WP tattoos, leave them alone, because unlike "Des Monies Racist Band" those guys WILL stab/kill you

Let me look for some shows.

Yeah, someone do an Operation Ivy cover band.

Would rather see a band playing good old covers than a new punk band playing "fresh" material, like songs about beer and working.

yeah, cover the ramones "its not my place (in the 9 To 5 world)"

or better yet, blink-182 "all the small things"

"work sucks, i know!!!"

Well, the way the Sick of it Sundays karaoke cover band works is, the live band plays the song, and whoever from the crowd gets up and sings it. If they start screwing up or whatever, people help out, it is ALOT of fun. A bunch of your friends drinking and singing old songs everyone knows in a show setting. So much fun.

So far there have been full sets of:

Black Flag
Ramones
Operation Ivy
Minor Threat
Misfits
Blink 182
Descendants

A few more I can't remember, If you can pull this off, it is so much fun.

I'd like to see happen or even a "kamikazee", which is something local bands get together once a year to do in Duluth, MN.

Basically you get a bunch of local bands/musicians, divide them up into categories based upon instrument played (even you skin flute artists can get into this) and then randomly draw new bands, ensuring that bands that don't exist

For example, let's say you get

Drums: Jordan
Guitar: Elliot
Bass: Ryan Meier of Beaty Meaty or whatever the fuck they are
Vocals: Tre D Crazi

or

Drums: Pratt
Guitar: Derek Lambert
Bass: John Laws
Vocals: Nate Phillips

You get the point. Each band is given two songs to play; one usually an easy and familiar one (say, The Ramones, Black Flag, oldies, etc), one usually a goofy one (the Humpty Dance, It's Raining Men, etc) and then one song of the band's choosing. The band is notified a week or two in advance as to who the band members are and given a brief window to practice as a band. DJ's, keyboardists, mandolin players, sousaphonists, etc are assigned randomly as well.

I used to listen to the suicide machines. I haven't in a really really long time.

It's a long shot that I will make it to this, but if I do expect a full report. I'm stoked on potentially doing some American Nightmare/Fear songs.

I listen to them and would be down for being a part of a band that covered any of those bands...not so much blink 182, screeching weasel would be fun, as would descendents.

im throwing together a minor threat cover set for my scooter clubs either rally benefit show(would be in iowa city) or the actual rally(moline il) you all should go. would consist of members from cruciform and through hard times.
