Iowa Underground Archives Rebuild

The site is under construction at this point but our mirror is up and going at <a href="http://5.iowaunder.com">http://5.iowaunder.com</a>. Any new content added to the mirror will be transfered to the new build. So if you are going to add something please do it there. I will added it to the new Archive.
If you have visited the site lately, you may have notiiced that the site have been down and up and down and up. There is a number of reasons for this. Some of it has been me playing around with the drupal install but my host provider decided that the site is using too much of it's CPU/Memory, sometimes as much as 59%. After messing around with the old site off and on to reduce this, I just decided it was time to just rebuild the thing. Plus it's winter and I'm going to be online more.
Just to give you an idea of what I'm trying to develope, here's the current wish list:
1.) The site will be divided in subdomains. This will be a Drupal multisites install which will allow for different themes and features for each section. This will make the navigation a great deal easier and allow for a faster download.
2.) Move the archive from wiki like format it has now to a Drupal book structure with freelinking. This would allow the archive to read like a book and make it much easier to change the outline when needed.
3.) Make the archive unlimited and expand into the rest of the world. The focus will continue to be on Iowa and the Upper Midwest but the structure would allow entries from anywhere else in the world.
4.) This one I'm still trying to figure out but a way to link the archives' entry members profiles to those that are members and to allow users to add Archieve entries to their favorite as fans.
5.) Build a more interactive social network with additional features.
6.) Work on a home page for each member with network information much in the same format as myspace or facebook.
7.) Make an active section of the sites for bands, promoters, management, etc.. that are still active. This was requested after the last build and I just couldn't make it happen at the time.
8.) Create an easier to use event section.
What I'm thinking about dropping do to under use(I would like your input on this):
1.) Classified section. I think most of what people would have posted there can be handled by the forums.
2.) The groups(like yahoo groups). I don't know if it was because no one understood they could create them or if there is just not a demand.
3.) Reviews section. No one posted in this area except me.
4.) The network information center. I really thought this one was a good idea but no one added anything. This maybe in part because of the navigation and the fact that there is just too much going on.
