Anyways, I voted for myself. Wasn't sold on Obama and I sure as fuck wasn't going to vote for McCain. A while back ago him and Bush wanted to grant the illegals amnesty in a pathetic attempt to pander to this mythical Hispanic vote the Republicans keep counting on. So yeah, fuck McCain.

Between the two of them, honestly, I think I'm glad Obama won. The Republican party has been nothing short of lackluster for the past eight years and I'm ready for someone else. I think Obama is going to be a little more moderate than some people on the right think he will be, which is good.

I voted against that too. I guess it's probably the only thing I really felt strongly about in the election. I wrote in names for virtually everything, except voting against Harkin and Boswell.

All my votes were write in except for the one senate race that had a Socialist Party candidate. I don't like Socialists, but at least this guy admits he's one.

For President I wrote in Ron Paul with Tommy Chong as VP, Johnny Reeferseed for Polk County Sheriff, and El Rhino as Soil and Conservation Commissioner. I voted "no' on the Idiot Amendment. I also vote no for all the judges just to be a dick.

I'm happy with the outcome. I'm hoping this is the last we here of Sarah Painintheass. I'm really thinking that the lower 48 need to take a close look at what is going on up there. First off the fed gives everyone money every year just to live there, then there is the kick backs from the oil companies they all get, not having a state income tax or sales tax and they are voting for a convicted felon Ted Stevens for senate. I think we all need to take a long look at this place.

The thing that I'm most excited about is the huge voter turn out. It's been guessed at being the highest % since woman got the right to vote in 1920.

The other thing is that it maybe the end of the conservative religious right's power. Though they tried to throw off the vote with their message of usual gay rights, abortion and etc... It doesn't seem like it was effective at all. This is great news for this country. Cause this is the power base that brought us Reagan, Bush and then Bush again.

I have to say that I was happy to see that race made no difference. America seems to have voted for who they felt the best man was or against the Republicans.

I have felt he was the right man for the job for a while. Now let's see if he can get anything done or will he be bogged down like Clinton was from the start. Wall Street seems to be shaking in their boots at the idea that there is a reformer in office. Only time well tell.

went to get the paper today and found this front page on the Des Moines Register, as well as the USA Today next to it:

i went to a few more and it appeared that all of the newstands had these front pages.

in a google search, apparently an Anarchist group in North Carolina claimed responsibility in an email sent to corporate news outlets, which reads:

I saw little on this last night. Is it really going to be effective? As I understand it only effects animals raised in CA which is not where a majority of these animals are raised.

I think this establishes a precedent which can be used to present/justify legislation nationwide. I look past the supposed minimal effect this will have in California, instead seeing the overall effect this could have.
