this is going to be for an upcoming spatulas music video.
I'm looking for stuff like:
lab coats
electrodes
syringes
ekg-type machinery
stethoscopes
blood-pressure stuff
surgical-type tools
straight jacket
vials

Where do you live? There's a weekly surplus sale in ames where they sell old supplies from the university. I dunno what you'll find, but sometimes they have weird sciencey shit. Try it out!

no way dirty needles are in the dumpster. needles are discarded in separate boxes by law.

i can definitely see syringes being in the dumpster, but not needles. even broadlawns isn't that fucked up.

we have so much sweet old science gear here that people put in the halls for other labs to take, not sure what our policy is on it.

I've seen nurses that are too lazy to walk an extra two feet to the biohazard container and instead just throw the needles in the trash. It's rare but it does happen.

There is also surplus in Iowa city for the University. It's on S. Gilbert, near Nagle Lumber. They always have weird shit there. I almost bought a defibrillator there once just because I could.
They are only open on Thursdays, but sometimes will meet by appointment.
