i also told mark(cruciform) that if one of their members couldn't make it, i would learn their set and fill in for whatever instrument they would require, so i maybe playing in 3 of the bands that evening, fun!

Because I don't care about this band anymore, Eric is selling his guitar amp to pay rent, James told us he is moving to Portland in October (biggest factor), Jordan lives in Ames, and no one asked Brandon, but if he wants to continue on as a one man bass hardcore act I don't care.

I think there is a pretty universal feeling, at least amongst Brandon Eric and I that no one likes our band, or cares about it. So we decided to call it quits.

I guess we weren't tough enough to make it in the big bad world of hardcore.

I called Chris last night and gave him an update. I talked to Kevin and it got way heated the other night. All 3 band members refused to do it, refused to take $100 each to do it, and Ken even scheduled his birthday party for that night so I'd look like more of a dick by going to DM. So I guess we're out. I have a new bassist lined up, but until we find a drummer, we're done cause Andy is moving on Sunday I guess. Basically my band sucks.

Sorry, I'm super pissed about the whole thing! We're gonna try to get it going again within a month and set up another show, and although we'll sound better than ever, I know DM people will be kinda pissed at us for bailing.

So there's where we're at. I'll let you know what happens.

TONIGHT

This was a great fucking show. Mark's head gashed open and my nose is broken.

Circlepit Assholes was an amazing band (you too Tony Rocky Horror! No joke, I loved every second of it) and it really breaks my heart to think that members of one of the only few great hardcore punk rock bands in the city quit because they thought no one really liked their band. It's a reflection on the state of this scene... and that is depressing.

Well, RIP dudes, I'm excited for what you do in the future, and good luck to James in Portland.
