I'm there.

For the Strict Vegetarian Diet (Vegan Diet)
A strict vegetarian diet requires a little more planning for nutritional adequacy because it may require special conditions such as no animal by-products. Little Caesars' pizza crust is made with a quality, high-protein flour and contains no animal products or by-products. The sauce is made from crushed tomatoes and is seasoned with a special blend of herbs and spices - it also is made without animal by-products. This means that customers who are strict vegetarians can order a Little Caesars vegetable pizza, without cheese, and still fulfill their needs.

Fuck yes! Wish it wasn't so far from me, but I already see myself going there at least once a week.

Incidentally, Sam and I have been trying to hit up good locally-run pizza places on the Southside. Any suggestions?

Pizza without cheese? I don't know where in the hell you come from, but round these parts we don't stand for no nonsense like that.

Seconded. I think I would prefer Bordonero's over Scorno's, but they're both good. I do think that the crust at Scorno's is a little too salty, but at the same time has a good yeast flavor to it. If you really want to kill your arteries, I highly recommend Scornovacco's appetizer sampler with onion rings (thin, how they're always done on the Souff Side), mozzerella sticks, fried ravioli, fried mushrooms and fried cauliflower with ranch dressing and marinara. Cheese Castle on SW 9th is good too. That pizza is going to be more along the lines of what you can get anywhere (round, medium crust, standard toppings), but it's better than the chains, reasonably priced and locally ran by an Italian family. They also have a pretty decent sandwich menu with stuff like guinea grinders, capicola*, etc, etc. I've never had the pizza at Noodles, but I imagine it's good as pretty much everything else there owns. Paesano's is good too and worth checking out. There's also Coriglano's which is good too. You could spend a week checking out the pizza places on SW 9th.

Baratta's, that place is so good when you eat it there. When I was a kid we would go there all the time. Back then it was more of an intimate neighrborhood restaurant. It changed management in the early 90's and got a little more upscale and well-known throughout the city, so the prices went up. Definitely one of my favorite, if not my favorite restaraunts. I would strongly suggest to never, ever, ever order their delivery. The service kind of sucks but the quality goes down several notches. From time to time my parents order delivery from there and invite me over and it's always disapointing, sometime even unedible. I don't know how it happens, but something really gets lost between point A and point B. Definitely go there though.

* If you want a good taste of the South Side, I highly suggest a capicola sandwich from B&B's on SE 6th and Hartford. Good times.

btw, one of my favorite lines from Beavis and Butthead ever was when they were watching the Biohazard & Onyx "Judgment Night" video and they say something ( at 0:26 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfFD709OtFM) and Beavis says "Pizza! Pizza!"

Oh, ok.

Well, whether or not they want to fight me doesn't change the fact that the food really, really fucking sucks when it's been delivered so put that in your canolis and smoke it.

I miss Home Team (I believe there's still one in the vicinity of E 14th and university). Huge, greasy, ten bucks and delivered by some mexican whom I don't feel guilty about tipping a dollar, because he doesn't belong here anyway. Priceless.
