In case any of you didn't know, there is a bike collective opening up downtown, it may already be open, im not 100% sure, i just drove by and noticed it the other day, then bopped online to confirm what i saw...sure enough, my eyes were right...
so heres some places with info...

oh, i just found out the hours of operation...they are:

open saturdays from 9:00 to noon
fridays from 10 to 2:00
tuesdays by appointment
and thursdays from 3:30 to 7:00

So fucking cool.
I'm going to e-mail this dude right now to check the schedule of events/whatever for this place.

yeah, i just emailed him asking when i can help out, i have alot of parts/and a few frames i can donate...tis a shame we got rid of most of our bikes though....but oh well...I'm stoked!!!

I tried to get my bike built through a collective here, but my only day off that they would do builds on was "GLBT day". They even used the word "patriarchy" in the description on their website. Oy vey.

spread the word, and lend your support...Des Moines has totally needed something like this to surface...its pretty awesome that it seems to be legitimate as well...this is way exciting!!!
