ZZZ took a bunch of water from the flood last week. Almost there entire stock in the basement was submerged in 3 feet of water. The mess is pretty incredible and I know he needs some help getting that stuff out of there and into the dumpsters.

So go down, offer a hand pulling out wet cardboard and vinyl if you have time. They still had a huge pile of records last night. Wear rubber boots iand crap nasty clothes if you are going to help.

It was actually all ground water through the floor and drain backup.

I was just in there like 45 minutes ago and Nate looked like he had been working and was stressed out, talking about some sort of situation, shitty deal.

i stopped by at lunch, and they said they might be done removing all the water logged records by 3 or 4. So if you thought about going in tonight, give them a call first.

If you knew anything about running a business, you would know that those were probably records that wouldn't sell as fast, or multiples of records already stocked. Must be Nates fault that his basement flooded, because he didn't let some shitty long haired dumbfuck look through the records in his basement. Yep.

H'YUCK H'YUCK.

Anyone that's ever been down there says there was a lot of good shit down there. Lots of ska 45s, shit like that.

Also, you look like a burn ward reject.

Oh no, you really hurt my feelers there. Fact is, old ska 45's wouldn't sell that great in DSM.

Actually, I rat-fucked all three of the old ska 45's back there years ago. Two copies of "Ten Commandments" by Prince Buster and "It Mek" by Desmond Dekker if I remember right... or maybe it was "Israelites". Either way I already had it.

There was a lot of decent shit downstairs still. The problem is that it was so unorganized. The biggest lost is honestly in the jazz section that he never really got going upstairs. He had a huge amount of jazz records in the basement he was working to get upstairs. But with having a kid a while back cutting down his hours, he was never really able to find the time.

He didn't let people go down there because the city basically told him that he couldn't. That is why it was really selective of who went downstairs. It was always and mess and unless you really wanted to spend 5 or 6 hours down there, it wasn't going to be worth a trip. nothing was in great order.
