Xerost8 Records is a small record company based out of Mason City, Iowa. With over twelve CDs released in the past two and a half years, their catalog dates back. The founders of Xerost8 Records are co-owners Tre D Crazi and Eyerishkyd. They made their debut on the mixtape scene with ""Murder In Mason"" back in June 2004. It wasn't put together professionally but was a good start. In September 2004, the two current owners began talking to an old friend of theirs, who recently had moved back to Mason City from Nashville, Tennessee, about signing with Xerost8. They made it official with their second mixtape, ""Middle Of The Map"" in Novemember 2004. With hits still being played today from that CD like ""Knuck If You Buck"" & ""Middle Of The Map"", the CD was a regional hit that started the buzz that still surrounds Xerost8 today. They followed with a few solo mixtapes and another group mixtape before the first album was released. Tre D Crazi's debut album, ""The Crow"" changed the way Xerost8 worked altogether.

For those of you playing at home, the white bandana is basically what the white belt is to screamo/emo fans for lower-class wiggerdom. It goes great with a knock-off FUBU jersey or a soiled North Carolina jersey while milling around the cellphone stores at Southridge or taking your pregnant 17 year old girlfriend to Wal-Mart in the middle of the night.

I wish I didn't have to work, I would totally go to this. Unfortunately, this isn't worth the loss in wages.

Something like that.. he did a few songs about me a few years ago, said something at a poetry open mic about me.. then sort of disapeared back toe Sheraton Iowa (where they breed the hard rappers)

This was simply a life changing experience... Seeing 18 year old kids rap about "fucking bitches" while there mom is in the front row of the crowd was really impressive. It really has changed the entire way I am going to look at making music from here on out.
Also realized that at some point in my set I need to do a wardrobe change, because the crowd just gets so amped when you come out with a new t-shirt. Not to mention, you can get them so hype when you are behind the curtain by the women's restroom at the Mews.
We took some photos with the guys while they were on stage. Someone is going to post them up today.
I am actually going to ask to open the next show. Something about killing babies seems fun to me.

.
This may be a stupid question/comment, but fo' real tho? Did you really do the wardrobe change and were they really into it?
So who all went to this? I mean, what was the audience like? Did a bunch of people from Mason City and the surrounding area come down? I see the flyer posted here pretty much gives them headlining status. I'm not really too up on the local hip-hop scene, but certainly Aeon Gray and/or Prophecy have more name recognition around the area. Did they actually headline this or is that just some shit they made? Have they ever actually performed anywhere before? Did anyone really talk to these guys? What were they about? Was his mom hot?

Oh, the bio that Micah posted sounds a lot like "Behind The Music: Eminem". Hmmm....
