If you go outside now (9:17pm), there's about ten light pillars in the sky. They're kind of cool. Basically it's light from the moon and other things that create big pillars of light in the sky reflecting off ice crystals. They almost kind of look like spot lights that you would see at a "grand opening" or some bullshit. So yeah, it looks kind of cool outside right now.

Ok, can't see them anymore.

you can see the same thing with the sun sometimes, but its because of some gas effect or something.

You can see it with the sun due to ice crystals as well. I guess they get something a lot in the arctic/Scandanavia where it looks like there's two or four suns or something because of this.

After I posted "I can't see it anymore" I left the house and there were a ton of them out.

I looked out the window while I was on the phone and saw some. I thought it had something to do with Prairie Meadows. Oops.

when it happens with the sunlight, I think it's called sundogs. Not sure on that, but they're pretty sweet when very pronounced.
