Custom drum head printing?
I figure it's about time for me to customize my kick drum resonance head with some lovely artwork. I found multiple places to do it online but would rather just have someone do it locally. Does anyone around here do this? Method ink, perhaps?
i fucking rule.
Re: Custom drum head printing?
why don't you just get some paint and paint it yourself, you know you could do much better of a job than any professional asshole
abortions for some, miniature american flags for others

Re: Custom drum head printing?
well... not sure exactly what you're saying. I already have the design. i just want somebody to take my design and print it on a drum head. Like screen print... not paint. And that, I cannot do by myself.
i fucking rule.

I wonder if that's a jinx like getting a girl's name tattooed on you? Like after you get it painted with some "gnarly" Horseshoe Spatulas logo those guys are going to be like "Hey Prattski, uhh.... you know you're our friend and all but...uh.... we don't think you're right for the band. Nothing personal, dude"

i could stencil somethin for ya, but if you want screenprint, my only thought would be method ink. don't know anyone else who does a lot of screenprint.
Re: Custom drum head printing?
is method ink Jake from Indie Workshop? I forgot what happened there. If not or so, talk to that dude.

Yes.Hank Fist wrote:is method ink Jake from Indie Workshop?
Is it safe to assume that it would take a certain kind of ink for it to really stick well to the material?

Re: Custom drum head printing?
yeah, for something like that i'd need to ask my supplier what kind of ink we'd need to use.
...but i'm kinda thinking that the same kind of ink i use for Windbreakers would work.
but i'm not really sure.
also, for those who like huge prints, we are getting some custom made boards in next week that are friggin huge (20 inches long)... so get your huge print ideas ready.

I'm still waiting for the t-shirt with a sideprint of a moose spitting rhombuses (rhombi?).
Make it HUGE, the design that is.

if I was a drummer, I get a picture of a black chick's big booty printed on my bass drum head. The audience could watch it shake everytime you kick it.
I poop on Petland!
