Found this on wikipedia:

"In a 2007 study, rats were fed a diet high in fat and HFCS (high fructose corn syrup) and kept relatively sedentary for 16 weeks in an attempt to emulate the diet and lifestyle of many Americans. The rats were not forced to eat, but were able to eat as much as they wanted; they consumed a large amount of food, and the researcher, Dr. Tetri stated that there is evidence that fructose suppresses the sensation of fullness. Within four weeks, the rats showed early signs of fatty liver disease and type II diabetes."

hahaha, stupid American rats!

Fuck that study. That is seriously one of the dumbest cases of animal testing I've ever heard of. Holy fucking shit.

Of COURSE someone on this messageboard focused on the animal testing aspect rather than the data gathered which is actually relevant to the conversation taking place.

Ethics aside, I bet the HFCS-laden food they were eating was better than the filth I usually see them eating on the train tracks.

It looks like its just a limited time thing, Pepsi says it will be back on December 28th and they will sell it for 8 weeks. hopefully if the demand is high enough they will keep selling it.

i was really bummed when i couldn't find it anymore.

i still think it's good and all, but if you read the ingredients list on a throwback bottle/can, it doesn't say it's cane. it's still refined sugar, just not hfcs/corn sweetener. you can do better when it comes to soda than throwback.

Some companies (Coke and maybe Pepsi) make a HFCS-free soda during Passover so teh j00z can still consume it. I'm not sure if it makes it to this market as there aren't too many of that tribe here.

Animal testing has no relevance to humans. Therefore the data gathered means nothing.

I like the straight V8, but the high sodium content is sooooo bad for you. That's why I usually dilute it with CHEAP VODKA!

if i had a lil more money, i'd buy better whiskey...its just when people are concerned about not poisoning their bodies, then they consume a bunch of processed shit full of hfcs, i feel it defeats the purpose to an extent...although i tend to take issues such as that further than what is neccisary and relevant.

i loves me some poison!

health benifits of whiskey:
Whiskey

Cells: Whiskey contains plant compounds which protect the body’s healthy cells. These come from the oak barrels in which whisky is stored during maturation.

Heart Disease: A study in the British Medical Journal found that in small doses , whiskey could help protect against heart disease, strokes and cataracts.

Cancer: In 2005, a scientific conference in Glasgow revealed that the ellagic acid found in whiskey could help fight cancer. This acid, which is also found in soft fruit, supposedly absorbs rogue cells in the body.

Sleep: Whiskey as a hot toddy is often recommended by doctors to help induce sleep.

Sore throat: It is believed that adding a spoon of honey and lemon to whiskey can help soothe a sore throat.

there you go buddy....like many things, it only becomes an issue if you abuse it...and sometimes, these horrible poisonous things, aren't so horrible at all...in moderation.

for the most part your right, i drink it because i enjoy it, and i enjoy a small glass of whiskey some nights before bed...i very rarely drink to get drunk...i havent been drunk in months, so if you are implying that, then you are wrong...and when i do drink, i try not to drink crap...i put forth effort...although i have drank a hot toddy several times when ive had a cold or sorethroat, and it does help...
