I've been to Taco Casa a few times and it was pretty good every time. Nothing to rave over, but the price was right and when you're baked it tastes really good.

If you want good burritos and shit, try the local taco wagons.
Never eat at the wagons. You are supporting illegal immigration there.
It just so happens that I'm a big supporter of illegal immigration. Ain't no mutherfucker that can tell another mutherfucker that they can't cross no imaginary line.

Unfortunately our past few presidents have felt this way too. We're going to be overrun by taco wagoneers.

I'm kind of fucking with you because of your "because Mexicans eat there it must be good, they know what's up" and comments about it being all authentic. It's a big pet-peeve of mine and you can read all about it here:

Anyways, I've never been to Dos Rios and never plan on it. It looks gayer than Christopher Lowell.
on the topic of mexican seafood: i have a chef friend that cooks at the Embassy Club. he was out one night and was passing by the mexican places on grand and saw a sign in a window that said ceviche (sp?). he decided to check the place out. he went in and ended up ordering the ceviche, the lagostinos (sp?) (very large shrimp) and something else. he said it was probably the best seafood hes ever eaten anywhere. him and his friend ordered 3 dishes and they left with a 30 dollar bill. so a great meal and decent prices. nothing was in english and they had to get the owner out of the back to talk to them so they could order. he said it looked like one of those places the local immigrants would go to dress up for their "sunday" meal. we are planning on going back soon cause it sounds really good. i'll hit you up when we go, ryan.

he didnt say what the places name was other than it was on grand in between where the turn to go up to university is and se 14th. and it has a ceviche sign in the window. so look for that if anyone wants to check it out themselves.

No wonder that Asian Buffet sucked so much when I went there a couple weeks ago. They knew they were selling it and didn't give a shit that every single thing sucked. Even the eggrolls sucked.

That's pretty much any Chinese buffet/restaurant. Those people are genetically wired for mediocrity.

China One on Ingersoll was/is ok, not sure if it's still open.

There are a few good Chinese buffets around. You're right about most of them being mediocre. When I went to that Asian Buffet by CiCi's (another place to avoid) it was way beyond mediocre. It was outright awful and they didn't even bother to hide the fact that they didn't give a shit.

The mexi buffet mostly had enchillada beef and cheese. Some fajita type stuff - I believe you had to ask for tortillas. The rice and beens were badass. Again, not a whole lot but I can eat like 6 enchilladas. $7.99 plus a drink I think it came to $9 something.

China One is gross as fuck. It taste like water saturated veggies with a barley any meat.

People think Im sick because I like Ming Dynasty on 9th.
