Man that was a fucking heart breaker of a game today. Vandenberg played amazing for the first start of his career though. I really thought it was going to be much worse than this game ended up being. What a great game even if they didn't win.

iowa played to conservative at the end, with a min left and a timeout they had plenty of time to get in field goal range, but hindsight is always 20-20 i guess.

Iowa should have shored up a BCS bowl with that win over Minnesota today. Good deal. It's no Rose Bowl, but oh well...great regular season outta them.

I don't give much of a shit about the in between the big game games, but the Iowa game just now was quite the game. I am pleased that both Iowa teams won their bowl games. I have no "team" for the Super Bowl, I guess I'll have to wait and watch or just go with popular opinion. I can only enjoy so much football before I start getting annoying CHRIS NORDHUS!!!!!!!!

Seriously! Clayborn was a fucking beast last night. Glad he has choosen to stay with Iowa instead of going to the draft next year.
Iowa did everything right last night. Only questionable play was the fake FG for the attempted TD. Murray looked like a clown running that play. He must have no arm whatsoever, as it would have been better to pass in that situation. He ran way to far outside too. Oh well, the interception shortly after that pretty much neutralized that whole play.
Stanzi was sharp and looked like he hadn't missed a game. Did throw a pick 6, but it didn't phase him.
Defense was the most impressive part of the Hawks game last night. They completely shut down one of the best rush offenses in the nation. Hell, even Brandon Wegher had more rushing yards than their star RB in Dwyer.
