All the drama in, and related to, this thread is pretty pointless. The one thing that I do have to say is that punishing people for not going to shows is pretty ridiculous, and is no way to build a scene. People don't respond to negative enforcement. There needs to be a lot more encouragement to come out because the shows are fun, a lot more "thanks to everyone who came out and contributed", and a lot less making people feel like they're obligated to be there, lest they tarnish their reputation. Eventually people will decide that going to your shows isn't worth the pressure and punishment for the ones they don't go to, and will stop showing up entirely.

If you put these kids on some shows, make them feel like they're welcome and are a part of your scene, you wont have to pressure them to come out, because they'll already want to.

Worth taking into consideration.
