Next Wednesday Anti-Heros and a few other Oi! records. I know I did this a few weeks ago but I've been digging a lot of the older Oi! and didn't really get through it all.

Coming soon, Thursday and Friday nights after 11pm will be Hillie Billie nights with my own mixture of Country, Folk, Jump, Rockabillie and Physcobillie.
I paid my dues but I lost my Receipt.

The Birthday Party and Boys Next Door, were the same band. They only changed the name when they moved to London in 1980. I was always told they changed the name because of the movie but that doesn't make sense cause it didn't come out until 85 or 86.

The fact is that they only released two LPs and 3 singles as the Boys Next Door and then later reissued most of them as the Birthday Party. BP was the same line up and they in fact, recieved a great deal more success as the Birthday Party and a majority of their work was under the BP name.

same members not the same band. thats why i figured they changed the name. kinda like rites of spring changing to one last wish to happy go licky?

wasnt the boys next door stuff that was rereleased as bp done by the austrailia label to recoup some of the money for boys skipping the island?

ive never known a birthday party fan to include boys next door as the same band. i guess youre my first.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't hear about this show  As one of the worlds biggest Nick Cave fans...although w/o Cave or Mick Harvey I couldn't imagine what the show would be like...did anybody go? Did they play Release the Bats or Big Jesus Trash Can?

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds new album is fucking sweet by the way, Dig Lazarus Dig!!!!

AH  Sorry about that, I didn't think I had ever heard anything about them doing, well anything in 20 years. Which record did you play? I have a bunch of Nick Cave one's, but no Birthday Party.

I played Hits, Junkyard and Prayers on Fire. Yeah they were done long before I first heard them.
