mp3 players?

i listen to records and tapes mostly. cds some. i have a tape player in the van. my vans stereo sounds bad anyway. could i plug an mp3 player into an audio cassette deck?
what else would i use it for? somebody talk me out of this...

if you have the tape adapter... yes.. you could.
