$12 is about $6 too much.

matt pinfield likes high on fire. i blame matt pinfield for the outrageous admission.

Neither of you have any idea what you're talking about when it comes to booking, especially in this town. 12-15 would be my starting point. Too bad the Hunger Pains is a done deal, they'd get a lot more people in the door.

i understand. charging that much in order to break even on the show may make sense from a booking point of view, but it doesn't mean it's worth it.

This show was originally gonna just be some sort of private function at Church of Choppers bike shop & was gonna be a about 25$ (from what I heard, Hairy?????). So now Im just gonna wait till that day to see ill go this or see As I Lay Dying @ Peoples. Both cost the same. I just would like to see a show at the new Peoples. Was in there during their Kareoke bullshit. Good lookin room though.

This is sweet, but I'm definitely going to see Misery Signals instead. Sorry!

Yeah seriously.
Misery Signals? As I Lay Dying?

Garbage.

High on Fire is tight, but not for $15. Go to the Haunted Basement instead.

I don't like As I Lay Dying, but Misery Signals is one of my favorite hardcore bands ever. They are amazing, and that's all there is to it.

om is better. it is i was better. operator generator was better. sabians were better. hopefully shrinebuilder will happen and be better.
i dont think the price matters that much. theyre a good band as long as you leave out the sleep part. but i dont think 12, 15 bucks is enough to complain over. des moines and especially the mews has kept cover charges much lower than the national norm, which might explain why we(dsm) get outbid on so many shows from kc, iowa city and omaha...
