SMB2:Lost Levels

Post by Nlaffey » Fri Mar 28, 2008 6:11 pm

It's out on the Wii arcade download deal. Just beat it the other day without warps. I thought it was way fun. Trying to beat it 6 more times so I can play the extra super hard levels. Anyone played it enough to get to the additional levels? Is it worth my time?

Also, anyone beat Contra 4 on DS yet? I think I was able to get to level 6-7 on normal difficulty pretty consistently but never made it past that.

Been playing a lot of RPGs lately.
I haven't even picked up Contra 4 yet.

Are these extra levels only included in the Wii release or were they in the original too?

Sounds like it'd be time consuming to unlock, but... worth it maybe?
Could be fun.

Pretty positive they are available in all versions. Once I beat it I used a glitch to get 90+ lives on the first level and then flew through it again in like 20 minutes so it wasn't that bad.

Contra 4 is pretty solid but its not very comfortable playing it on the DS. I wish they'd port it to something else.

The thing that's kept me from getting Contra 4 is, well, I guess you can answer this: You know how in the other Contra (side scrolling) if you miss an item above you as it flies by, you can always shoot diagonally to knock it out of the air? Well, with the 2 screens in Contra 4, is that even possible? Or do you have to knock it out of the air when it's directly above you?

I never really noticed before but I just played a level and yeah, if you shoot the regular gun diagonally from the bottom screen it barely even shows up on the top screen.

Like I said , I never even really noticed it until you mentioned it however.
