I've never understood the appeal of this game. too chaotic, and clusterfuckesque.

so no.

I'll play it.
It just looks like Melee 1.5, though.

I played the japanese version for 5-10 minutes. Because I couldn't read anything I couldn't really see any new playable features but as far as visuals... i thought I was playing the japanese gamecube version for awhile.

Heard they actually slowed the action from Melee down a bit for Brawl.
If so, bummer.

Brawl was only made due to consumer demand. Melee had pretty much every feature the developer could imagine or want to put in the game, aside from the online component.

So, Brawl is basically the game that Melee should have been, and is definitely the last game of the series. There is a great interview on the Wii website between Sakurai (the producer) and Iwata (president of Nintendo) about how it came to be.

I'm hoping it is just more of the same from Melee, with new characters and a solid online multiplayer mode.

I give this game a thumbs up so far, pretty much the same game with some good tweaks. The wiimote+nunchuck isn't terrible, I'd rather use it then be tethered to the Wii by 2 foot gamecube controllers cords.

The game is pretty good so far. My roommate and I have unlocked a few characters: Falco, Ness, and Marth. We've done some online play, and that's lacking. All I seem to be able to do is 2-minute brawls with items. I don't really understand it, but I haven't really looked into it either.

But of course the adventure mode to Brawl isn't that good. I don't like Samus that much, but Zero-Suit is fast and has some sweet launch moves.

The game play does seem a bit slowed down. The timing is weird.

The easiest way to play is the most obvious with the Game Cube controller. I played with the Wii remote and nunchuck but really didn't like it. I bet with a lot of practice it could be a sufficient way to play. Playing with the Wii remote alone is god awful. And I don't have a classic controller.

Played this at a friend's place last night playing against two other friends online. Amazing. There is a bit of slowdown when playing online, but it doesn't skip or glitch out... just slows down from time to time. Still playable, and a shit-ton of fun. Some of the new stages are pretty great, some are kinda boring.

Pretty much what I expected, which is a good thing.

Just played it for the last 3 hours.
It's okay.
7.5/10
If you're looking for more of the same, that's what you'll get.
My favorite new character is Wario. DeDeDe is sick too.

I was expecting a lot more out of this character wise... it's kind of a huge let down.
