…self-proclaimed “Des Moines area shapeshifting reptilian overlord fuzzed out garage punx,” Goldblums, are gearing up to take over said Des Moines area this February.

It’s partly due to the Workerbee Records reissue of their previously self-released Drug Window tape, which is huge for me because I’m pretty sure my pal, Nick, bought the last available copy a few months ago in Des Moines at ZZZ before I even glimpsed it. I’m still a bit raw about it, but that’s the risk you take going record shopping with someone with identical taste in music as you.

But that’s what free digital downloads are for, ya see, and I’ve been tacking up the play count on that one for some time now. That Goldblums style of dragging doo-wop sensibilities through the punk muck and blasting it back through the speakers on waves of delay and distortion is just undeniably good.

Oh, and let’s not forget their contribution to the labels upcoming I Promise To Be No-Good cassette compilation, which also features local hoodlums such as The Vahnevants, Person Whale, and Karen Meat and the Players, among others.

The release of that compilation will be celebrated at the following:
