motorcycles
so, im have been gaining interest in wanting to purchase a SMALLER motorcycle...not a fucking moped or a crotch rocket. and would appreciate some sort of direction on where to start looking. ive seen a few people riding around town on smaller hondas...but have not been able to catch the model type...i've also seen a few smaller indian motorcycles, but havent noticed much aside from that. anyways, any direction would be appreciated. I primarily want it for transportation to and from work, and for coming into town for when we eventually move out to the country...yucka yuck...also, i've heard people talk about street legal dirt bikes? my budget is somewhat negotiable as i dont plan on purchasing until i pay my truck off this fall(if i decide to purchase at all)...so, i would say anything used from $1000-5 or new up to $12,000 from a dealer...)any help would be appreciated. reliablitity is fairly crucial as well...
thanks
thanks

Re: motorcycles
Honda nighthawks are smaller bikes. The motorcycle class you take has you learn on them. Honda CB's are pretty cool. A lot of guys turn those into cafe style racers (google it)

If I had 12k to spend on a bike I'd get a 2000 and up Ducati Monster.

75-78 were good years. $750-$2,000.
Get ahold of jeff Haigwood @ vintagecycledsm.blogspot.com . He sells bike and also services them. Very fair priced.

Re: motorcycles
its a hondamatic. my favorite boss ever had one. he was 77 and drove it to work in the summer. its the last motorcycle ive driven. i loved it. i had a buddy that used to buy them all the time. i dont know how mechanically inclined you are but you can get them pretty cheap and usually make them run pretty easy. people give up on shit too much.TooManyHumyns wrote:yes, that is what i've been looking for...is that the night hawk? i can just see the word hawk on it...im going to try and get on here tonight to research all yall input...thanks
