Post by inx515xhell » Tue Apr 05, 2011 9:34 pm

you can totally get your concealed carry permit online for $40.
http://www.concealed-carry.net.
good in colorado, iowa, oregon and virginia. keep in mind you will also have to pay the court fee, not to exceed $50.

the people who did our course for my permit renewal said a lot of those type of places are popping up. most arent legit.

for an extra $20, you can go to an actual course thats been recognized by the sheriffs department before the new law and its good in at least 3 more states, if not more.

Well, I can vouch for www.concealedcarryonline.com it was $50 took less than an hr and you just print out your certificate...no range time needed....Kind of scary how easy the testing was. I have my permit....

Also the concealed permit doubles as your permit to purchase which is nice, because it lasts 5 years.

well from what my instructor said, to get a new permit in iowa you have to have at least 4 hours of training by law. i have absolutely nothing to back that up other than him saying so and im not looking it up. range time isnt required anymore. so if you got out of there in an hour, lets hope that doesnt void it.

Most of the online courses are completely legit. I'll be taking mine through the Cedar Valley guy here soon.

Also, if you leave Iowa, spend the extra money and take the Utah course. It's valid in a lot of states where the Iowa permit is not (Minnesota is one of these).

Joe P, the testing has always been that easy. They more or less make sure noone fails. Back when I took the class you still had to range qualify, and instead of shooting at different distances, you shot different sized targets at 5 yards.

Hawkeye Firearms yo.

It was just a morning class in a garage. No test, no range time. It's legit in the way that I have my permit. Guy teaching it was kiiiind of different. I think it was inexpensive. It for sure wasn't $50.

I had fun shooting my step-brother's AR-15 and .44 Magnum last weekend.
