Yeah...Bill Pinkel is the man. Wanted to have something sorta special done for BWMs last show and he was cool enough to do this. All I said was it would be cool to incorporate something with a 4th of July vibe, since it's close to that date. So he does that with the naked Thomas Jefferson, riding a horse, but also managed to incorporate cheeseburgers, which brought a goddamned tear to my eye. Perfect.

I guess it even works for the vegans/vegetarians, as he is murdering a burger too. I like how the horse is all..."WTF!"

Yeah man, it does suck. But believe me, I tried my hardest to get this at The Mews. I was waiting for literally a month to hear back from Ladd on a hold for the all-ages slot on 7/2. Not his fault, the band with the hold was dragging their feet getting back with him. SO...after about 5 weeks of waiting, I had to look for another location, as The State Lottery were starting think about passing Iowa up. And Nate at Ames Progressive has been super awesome to deal with so far, so it's worked out alright. But yeah, I really wish this could have been in Des Moines too.

And at the time, I didn't know this was gonna be BMWs final show. Those dudes are really good! That's a big bummer, but hopefully they'll all go on to start other cool bands?

Yeah, this show was great. And I think Boy Meets World fucking killed it last night. Definitely ended on a high note. All the bands were great and I think the Progressive was pretty sweet. I had a great time. Thanks to all the BMW guys for being rad dudes!
