It just won't be the same without Harley. I might consider this if it was less then two hour drive. I will say they put on a hell of a show 20 years ago and it would be cool to see them in a smaller room.
I paid my dues but I lost my Receipt.

I saw both and have to say, the first time was the best with both of them. Also the second time was right before the second record came out and there was a lot more metal up there on stage by then.
It seems like a fly-out show cause they aren't playing anywhere else. Unless there is more dates coming. See I'd go to Omaha to see them or maybe even KC. Those dates just don't work for me.

i found this from their wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cro-Mags
In 2008 John Joseph started playing shows, including one at Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, using the name Cro-Mags (jam). The band included drummer Mackie Jayson, Craig Setari of Sick of It All on bass, and AJ Novello of Leeway on guitar. Daniel Frederick Jubert, of Coke Bust fame, joined them onstage in Des Moines, Iowa to perform a cover of controversial reggae singer Buju Banton's "Boom Bye Bye."
this never happened.

But everything on wiki is fact.
I seems that for some reason John Joseph thinks he has the rights to a band, it's name and music that he quit. After he left Harley carried on and built the band's rep. Though I have to say most of the records after Age sucked.
Over the years Harvey has tried to get the band back together with all the original members and John has refused. I know there is lots of bad blood but it just seems like he is just cashing in.

Never happened, I remember Coke Bust playing here though, it was the haunted basement if I'm not mistaken. Didn't hear shit about the Cro-Mags though...

Coke Bust was fantastic... and, yeah, you guessed, there were less than 10 people there to witness it. More people came from out of town than in town to see them play. Failure.
These Cro-Mags shows look awful.

Isn't this the show that Lost Hope was supposed to play your first show, but you guys decided to go to Ames instead or something like that? I remember I drove back from Ames for it. It could have been another show though.

It was going to be our first show I think. Something like that, but I was stuck in Ames since Dylan's car was fucked up. We were at the Honda place there for hours before the guy said it was unsafe to drive so they wouldn't let him take it. If I had realized it at the time (I always forget that you live in Ames Jordan) I would have tagged along. Still bummed out I missed that show too.

A friend of mine just saw these Cro-Mags in California. He said it was actually a pretty good show.

If you need a ride and can meet me en route from Des Moines to Minneapolis I will get you. Gas money is mandatory, the amount will be decided upon Sunday when I know how many people are actually going with me.
