I'm pretty sure I read something in a PETA pamphlet a year or so ago mentioning that KFC would start carrying vegan and vegetarian food items. Too much processed soy and TVP . It would be nostalgic to eat, but in no way healthy.

I don't think people consider health when they walk into a KFC. Also, a lot of vegetarian and vegan shit is almost as processed as KFC chicken. Trying to get something that isn't meat to taste like meat...can't be natural.

That's not really too surprising considering the majority of KFC's business is international these days and they operate in places where vegan foods and/or diets are more common. I think KFC is huge in China, getting bigger in India (largest vegetarian population) and very popular in Europe, especially the UK, where vegetarian diets are more common among the white population than here and even higher considering the notable Indian population and their tendency towards vegetarianism. Middle Easterners love KFC. Chicken is the primary draw, of course, but I think having to cater to non-North American taste buds and diets makes having veg-friendly food seem a little more reasonable. Either way, I'll pass, thank you.

Although at the last vegan potluck I was at someone made mashed potatoes with gravy and the gravy tasted like KFC's gravy, which was a plus. Jill, I think that was you?

Fair enough, if by "shit" you mean mock-meat then I concur. I don't eat that much of it because (1) it's expensive, (2) it's not filling, and (3) it's not a very healthy alternative to blood.

But I will admit that I was on a Morning Star kick for a while. I use Boca for chili. The one place that blew my mind was a Chinese restaurant I went to with Joe in Minneapolis. I forgot the name of it.

I would try both, and enjoy at least 1. I am not a big fan of bacon on sandwiches so I would probably take that shit off. Either that or just get the famous bowl like usual(not really usual, once every half a year do I actually eat at KFC, if even that).
